I've neglected the blog once again, but in an attempt to document my babies (who are growing entirely too fast), here's a quick update...
Last month Cade began third grade!
After being out of school since March, it was quite the transition but I think we were all ready for a change of pace.
This kid has seriously grown two clothing sizes and a whole shoe size since January. Hello growth spurt! I can't keep him full and I can't keep his CLOSET full because he's constantly growing out of things...
I asked Cade what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said he "wants to sell things that he makes or be a police officer" Hmmmph. He loves his two teachers (he switches classes now, well during covid times the teachers switch classes...) and he's happy to be back.
Next up, Charlie began his second year of preschool!
Technically, yes he's five as of July 2nd but we had already decided at the beginning of the year that we would hold him back and let him have another year of preschool before sending him off to "big school". Now we're especially grateful since his year was cut short due to cover and we know this is the best decision! He's never been one to "love" going to school (aka: he's the one we have to drag out of bed in the morning) but he absolutely loves his teacher, Mrs Becky, and his friends.
back to school, but make it 2020...
I asked Charlie what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said:
"I don't know what to be..."
so there ya have it , folks.
it's going to be a great year! BAH!!
Hope everyone is having a great year back so far (and fingers crossed they stay in school and no Covid outbreaks. Prayer chain started)
