I've been going to the movies a LOT lately. 3 movies in one week. Haven't done that since maybe uh, high school?
Few weeks ago I went to see Friends with Benefits with Sweetbef. We have both always loved JT. It first started as NSync fans then we saw him in concert with TI and Timberland and it nearly changed our lives. ha! So we knew we must see this movie together and let me say, it did not fail. I knew JT was better at singing/performing than acting and I admit, I cringed a little when those first words came out of his mouth. But actually he ended up being a pretty decent actor in this movie and the chemistry between him and Mila was amazing. They were fabulous together and it's a fun, fun movie!
Then I had a date night with Chad. He wanted to see Transformers 3. I was the good wife and agreed but we settled on Horrible Bosses.
It was funny but it wasn't my favorite. Kinda feel like all the funny parts were in the previews, but it does have a unique plot and it's a fun date night movie for both.
Better than dragging him into a romantic comedy.
Went back to the movies with Sweetbef and saw Crazy Stupid Love. It was so so cute! I thought it was a bit cliche at first but it has great surprises and is just a great movie. It's PG 13 so I told my mom to go see it because she said it's hard to find a movie lately that's not so raunchy. Agreed. Next up, I want to see The Help.
Love Emma Stone and even though I haven't read the book [should I read it first?],
I can't wait to see it.
What movies have you seen recently and loved?
I'm also ready for Something Borrowed to come out on DVD next week. Missed that one. What did you think about it?
when "something borrowed" comes out on DVD we need to watch it together. slumber party!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely read the book first...it was sooo good!!
ReplyDeleteRead the book!! So many book to movies get things added and taken away. It was fast read for me!
ReplyDeleteI agree about not being able to watch ANYTHING with your parents anymore... Everything is raunchy! And I've also been thinking the same thing about if I should read The Help before seeing the movie!
ReplyDeletethanks for the movie recaps, because i've wondered about all of these! definitely read The Help first (i think if you see the movie first, you won't read the book, and the book is awesome!!!) and loved the lemon story :) glad you are doing well!
