thirty five.

Well, well, well...

we got here quickly, didn't we? 

Whew. 

Time seriously flies y'all and the older I get, the more I realize that I need to slow down to savor every sweet minute of it. 

We snapped these pics in the (too dark) store last Tuesday before our Sugar belated Christmas dinner and my birthday wish is that my smile shows pure joy written across my face. I am so proud of what God has blessed me with in my thirty five years of life. Also what I've created and what I've learned along the way. 

The experiences and lessons. This amazing, chaotic, sweet family of mine. My business, my Sugar "family" and the precious memories created with all of those peeps + my ever loyal and supportive friends/ customers (over the past year especially).

Life is faaaar from perfect , but I seriously couldn't feel more content, satisfied and GRATEFUL right now. For my 25th, I likely would have wanted some sort of item. Maybe expensive, maybe not. A fancy dinner out with Chad. Oh and don't forget a movie too!

Now at 35, my birthday wish is so stinkin' simple: along with wanting to be in my pjs on the couch with Chad and the boys by 9pm ( and likely with a face mask on),  I simply wish for good health and good memories. I just want to relish in this time because as everyone always said, the thirties...well that's the good stuff right there.

The time when you stop giving a darn what everyone thinks of you and you truly know. who. you. are. You know your tribe, you know who's got your back. You know what matters and you know what doesn't. You learn that giving is more rewarding than receiving. Also, you strive for moments, not "things". Sure, there's still plenty to learn but alas we've found exactly what makes us happy.  Whether it's fancy shoes or a face mask + glass of rosé on your couch in pjs, we get to unapologetically BE US. 

Tis the year to focus on simplicity, the everyday ordinary and sharing that J O Y with everyone around me, all while creating priceless memories (big and small) along the way...

To kick off the fun and start making those sweet mems, we're having our first Wine Down Wednesday of 2019 on the 16th! We're talking cupcakes and champagne , with loads of "party favors" and surprises. Isn't that what birthdays are all about?
