Wanted to post a few of my absolute purchases/investments in 2017 and a few of my favorite Christmas gifts I received also!
First up. Read this post to see how much I absolutely LOVE Obagi's NuDerm system. It did wonders for my skin last Fall and after using their products for years, I'm a firm believer that they're absolutely the best for anyone struggling with hyperpigmentation,and/or acne.

I bought this for Sugar mid-year and we have absolutely loved it. We have a big store, 1400+ sq ft, and a lot of dust. It's just so easy to spot clean the dressing rooms in between customers or get leaves up at the front door without lugging the big Dyson up and plugging it in 3-4 times as we go all over the store. I love it so much I got one for home for Christmas. When the boys crush Goldfish or cereal all over the floor, this will save me from sweeping 200+ times a day.....ugh....because our dark hardwood floors show EVERYTHING.
Joy Mangano Velvet Hangers
Almost every year my mom gets me another set of hangers. Some break, some I end up taking to the store and leaving...I get more and more clothes (what? who, me? ) and somehow we just never have enough. Our entire closet is velvet hangers so that we can fit more clothes into a small space and so it also looks 10x neater. The Joy Mangano are the best! I've used both hers and just random cheap kinds at the store and the Joy ones always hold up so much better!
Tarte Tartelette Eye Palette
This was a gift from the bestie and I. HAVE. LOVED. IT. A huge fan of Tarte already, I can't believe I've never came across these colors. They're legit perfect. I find myself wearing these every single day even though I have three or four other palettes. This is seriously all you need if you love warm mauve/brown colors! Love.
GoPro HERO5 Session
We've loved our GoPro this year! Lucked up and got the bundle under $200 at the beginning of last year, but you can still get the actual GoPro for $199 (free shipping and no tax at BHPhoto - which I always order from) and add accessories to it (like the handle, harnesses, etc...) Waterproof and packs a whole lot of punch into a little size. With two boys and an avid outdoorsman husband, I knew it would be well worth the investment...they've made hunting videos, vacation videos, and more!
Kavu Backpack
Sounds crazy, but this new age "fanny pack" has come in REAL handy this year. From Disneyworld (which is originally why I got it) to trips to the zoo, Dollywood and more. It's lightweight, just the right size and can swing around crossbody style in a flash to keep everything within arms reach (all while chasing toddlers and riding rides, etc...) Emily Ley's "A Simplified Life: Tactical Tools for Intentional Living" Book
Dove right into this book after Christmas and boy did I need it. Y'all. Do yourself a favor. It's just easy, tactical ways to begin simplifying your entire home (and LIFE!) which is a great way to start out 2018 if you ask me.
I'm all about simplifying and organizing in 2018. More on those goals later!
Young Living Essential Oils Starter Set
I was a sucker and fell for the YL Essential Oils set and have absolutely loved it. Swear it's kept us from getting sick several times last Fall. We diffuse almost daily and I use when we do get sick and for so much more.
So yeah those are my top favs from the year and for 2018 I would love to say that I will not buy as much (ummmmm!) but we all know that's really not an attainable goal from an avid shopaholic. One thing remains: I WILL always try to find the best deal and I'll be sure to share any top finds on here as well! Here's to more purchases in 2018 that make life easier, that's for sure. I'm all about that.
