Just a few snapshots around our home, since I finally just got it all decorated last weekend. We still didn't even do as much as we did last year - especially not as many ornaments on the tree because I knew Charlie would just pull them off. I also switched some things up. Here's a peek. Come on in!
For the dining room table centerpiece, I used green ornaments that I skipped on our tree this year + votives I already had. The striped Ana candles were a recent purchase at SWOON! (and I love them) a few weeks ago. Added the candle holders from Hobby Lobby + magnolia leaves out of a tree. Love how the pink & green matches my curtains. It really is my fav.
simple gold pinecones I scored on clearance end of season last year added to our dough bowl on the foyer table
kept things the same in the kitchen but love this new rug I got on sale at Ballard Designs earlier in the year...
this little tree with gingham ribbon and cookie cutters as ornaments may be one of my favorites!
made the chalkboard festive...
added fresh greenery to our breakfast nook and I always put a poinsettia on that table
these fun napkins were on sale for about $1 each at Hobby Lobby!
our elf Skip hangs out wherever he can...
a glimpse into Cade's room...
and our main tree...
with my Ballard Designs stockings that I've yet to get monogrammed...
fresh greenery and items I already had up on the entertainment center...
outside topiaries flank the front door with a simple wreath we receive every year from Appalachian Tree Farm in Boone, NC from Chad's aunt Sallie. A tradition his sweet Uncle Brian started years before he passed away. This means so much to us!!
next year we may try a little more, but the hubs did good to get a wreath hung on the shop this year. This is just how I envisioned it when sketching it out to build. Our "gift to ourselves" (read: ok, mostly the hubs) in 2016 and boy have we already gotten our money's worth. It gets used errrryday.
So that's a wrap! Now that the halls are decked, I can't wait to make gingerbread houses with the boys since I am off tomorrow and just wrap presents, listen to Christmas tunes and slow down a bit to enjoy and soak in the magic of Christmas!!!! Hope you all get to do the same.
Happy Friday!
