So after a busy week/Saturday at Sugar, we headed over to our friends house Saturday night for an awesome party/shower/celebration for both baby Charlie and baby Blain (future son of Chad's first cousin Holly and Will John. Read more about our pregnancies and boys here). Our friend Beth and sis in law Monica so graciously threw this for us, even though we certainly did not need a thing already having so much boy stuff (remember...this is #6 and #7 McClain great grandboy so boy stuff for days...seriously). However, we got SO many awesome essentials, diapers on diapers on diapers and it. was. freakin. amazing. I rejoiced every time I saw those little yellow Pampers packs. We appreciated EVERYTHING! Here's a few pics to recap the night...
Big brother Cade...

Big Brother Hayden...
and soon to be "Simpson Party of 4"
With our super sweet hostesses. Love these ladies so much!
and I love this little booger so much, even with that face. Always cracking us up!
I can not wait to see him as a big brother...
They're already practicing their big brother skills by ummm...keeping the "littles" out of the Riddle girls' playhouse. Nice.
Again, a huge thank you to everyone who showered both of these precious boys with love. We are far too blessed and had a wonderful night!
That Sunday to say I was exhausted from the busy chaotic week was an understatement. It was a rainy blah day and all I wanted to do was spend some QT with my little man. We decided to ride to Simpsonville and take him to his very first movie to see Monkey Kingdom, one of Disney's new nature movies. I figured surely he could sit there and look at animals for an hour or so. We met Beth for brunch and had a fun time shopping then watching the movie!
He did really good and LOVED the popcorn the most (of course) but then the dreary rainy day and wild night before must have got to him because he conked out in my lap towards the end! Bless.
We will definitely be trying out another movie soon.
Oh and he wants everyone to know that he can wink now.
BAH!!!
Oh my word, how I love this kid.
