HAPPY NEW YEAR!
New Year post coming up tomorrow, but first more Christmas. Promise almost done...
Christmas Even we stopped by Grami's before heading to Grandma McClain's house (who passed away earlier this year but we all gather there for Christmas. Chad didn't get to go unfortunately because he was soooo ridiculously sick. A flu swab test (thanks Holly!) later that night revealed he did indeed have the flu. AWFUL!!!). We sure missed him, but Cade was just pumped that SANTA was coming soon!!!
These sweet cousins were pumped too! just look at those smiles...
They love each other. The three amigos...
We dined on steak, baked potatoes, big salads, and LOTS of yummy desserts.
Chad's dad has three siblings so it makes for a big ol' family and the five great-grandboys all have the most fun! Unfortunately we couldn't get a pic of them all. Maybe that's just at the beach!
Then papa had to be "Santa" since daddy was so sick. He put together the trampoline (thank GOD we went with the smallest one) all by himself. Awful. Chad did manage the table and chairs, but only got two of the four chairs put together. Anyhoo, Christmas morning came and we pulled it off, had it all set up...and our boy was just as excited!!
He looooved his microphone. Definitely an entertainer!
and this year we really got out easy, the small trampoline and table/chairs was his "big gifts" and the rest all little stuff. We knew we didn't want to move a ton of "stuff" and quite honestly we knew he would be just as content playing with PlayDoh. As proven by this pic...
I scored these matching pjs from The Company Store on major sale way back in the Summer.
Next year daddy will have some too (he would laugh right now if he knew I said that) and he better not be so sick....just wasn't the same this year!
love my boy!!
before heading over to Grami's for a delish Christmas brunch, Cade had to try out a few tricks on his new trampoline. LORD HELP US ALL. This is why my hair is turning gray by the minute...
We got to Grami's and "king Cade" was laid up, watching the Christmas parade.
followed by lots of snuggles and kisses from Aunt Coco...
then let the opening of presents begin. He was WAY into it this year. So fun!
and he was such a sweet boy, so appreciative for every gift. Super pumped about anything Jake & the Neverland Pirates!
silly boy, our best present!!
That night we went to Mimi & Papa's to exchange with them, Aunt Monk, Uncle Wayne and all the boys. Cade loves the new puppy, Max!
and he loved Carter's spy glass...of course.
I didn't get a ton of photos at Mimi & Papa's that night. Mostly because we were POOPED!
We got a ton of awesome gifts for the new house throughout the day, Cade got TOO much (his grandparents spoil him for sure!) and it was just a fun-filled day. We laughed...we ate a lot of good food...we even got a nap in. Perfect Christmas day with the fam. We are insanely blessed, grateful, and love them all dearly.
One more recap coming up (yes, there's more) from this past weekend. We make it last aaaaall week!
