June 20th

Earlier this week, I forgot to post the significance of June 20th

[which was this past Monday]

June 20th 2005 was the day Chad and I officially began dating.

6 YEARS ago, people. 6 YEARS!

Can. not. believe it.

I had just returned home from studying abroad in Italy for 5 short weeks the Summer between my Junior and Senior year of college. However, it felt like forever since when I left we weren't on the best terms and I didn't know where we stood with our "somewhat/i guess you could call it relationship". What better place to clear my head and let him figure out what he wanted than in another country, right?

Well the ol' saying "Distance makes the heart grow fonder" is absolutely true.

We've been together ever since.

Even though we dated a little on and off before then and were best friends in high school, God knew exactly when we needed to be together for it to work. Talk about perfect timing.

Have the past 6 years been perfect? No.

Have we had our share of ups and downs? Yes.

Are we thankful for the broken road that has led us to where we are today? ABSOLUTELY.

I couldn't find many photos taken in 2005, so here we are early

2006 with our dear friends Brian and Devin.

My oh my how things change.

This was us last weekend at a friends wedding. Happier than ever, feeling incredibly blessed.

God is good, His timing is perfect...

...and June 20th will always be a special day to us!
