This past weekend was the perfect Summer weekend for many reasons...
On Friday night we went to a birthday party for friends Beth, Devin, and Kelly whose birthdays fall around the same time and they've been trying to do combined parties for the past couple of years {so fun!} Beth's was Saturday the 26th, Kelly's is today, and Devin's is July 12th. Beth had a cute post with pics from years past on her blog here.

Saturday, my sister Courtney brought our half brother Will {who is from Bamberg} with her from Columbia, so we were thrilled to have them stay. We hadn't seen Will since January and even though we only live a couple hours apart, we hate having busy schedules that keep us from seeing each other.

We also went ahead and celebrated our granddad's 78th birthday with a fish fry (his favorite) since Will was here, even though his birthday isn't until July 3rd. Such a blessing that he is doing well, but please continue to keep him in your prayers. He still misses my dad so so much, which we all do and just feels like it never gets easier. Very bittersweet that my papa's birthday is the same day as my dads, so even though it was a fun celebration - we sure do wish we had daddy here to celebrate too.
We literally had just gotten in from the lake in this pic, wet hair and all, plus poor Will's eyes were red from the chlorine in the pool. But we wouldn't trade it for the world since we just cherish every picture we get when

in case you didn't hear, the CAROLINA GAMECOCKS beat our biggest rival Clemson not once but twice this weekend and will now advance to the CWS National Championship, starting with their first game against UCLA tonight! Now, as I'm off to cheer on my Gamecocks there's only one last thing to say....
GO COCKS!!!!!
*oh and in other random news, thanks Court for getting me back on the "Twitter bandwagon" again. {We'll see how long this lasts}Like I need one more thing to take up my time right? I think Chad just likes going around saying "Sandi TWEETED!!!!" He thinks it's hilarious but secretly we know he just wants a Blackberry so he can "tweet tweet tweet" like the rest of us!
