...the world was graced with the presence of Joshua Chad McClain.
My sweet {and always comical} husband turns 27 today and yes, he IS a blessing. Even though we have our share of ups and downs, he keeps me laughing, keeps me sane, keeps me motivated, and keeps me feeling loved and blessed. I thank the Lord everyday for bringing him into my life and hope he has a great birthday today.
[i love this picture - especially because he's wearing a Carolina hat and he is a CLEMSON fan! Yes, you heard right.]
Today also marks another special milestone for us. 3 years ago today we made plans to be husband and wife. After having an entire "surprise birthday" planned for him, Chad turned the surprise around on ME and proposed after a long day at the BMW Pro Am Golf Tournament, dinner, and right before the Hootie & the Blowfish concert. It was a day of our favorite things...golf, good food, music, and each other. I will never forget that day as we started our journey together.
That summer we had a blast celebrating a new chapter in our lives. We picked our wedding date and had a year and a half to plan. Before planning, we decided to really enjoy being engaged and just have fun together. It was such an amazing time! We attending so many fun weddings and traveled together throughout the rest of May, June, and July...
It was a Summer I'll never forget and we're looking forward to
another great one this year!
(we're even heading back to the Bahamas [photo above] - whoooo hooo)

*just had to throw in this conversation from last night...so typical.
chad: " I can't find anything on TV. Pick out a movie to watch"
me: "ok....let's watch Sex and the City tonight since SATC 2 comes out in two weeks!"
{said with a "pretty pretty please" smile on my face}
chad: " on second thought, I'm sure we can find SOMETHING on TV"
me: " OOOOH Miss USA pageant!!! Please, let's just watch this on NBC!"
chad: " awww, babe, but I know how much you want to watch Sex and the City ... "
Nice try.
Needless to say it was a lose/lose situation for him and he ended up watching (almost the entire) Miss USA pageant with me!
Did anyone else watch it last night? Who did you pick to win? We thought Oklahoma for sure.
ok...I thought Oklahoma.
Great post! The Bahamas will be so much fun! That will be fun picking out some cute outfits to pack too. Sounds like you've got a sweet hubby. :) Hope he has a great birthday.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, any Worth shifts, Tories or Del Mars on sale there lately?
When it got down to 15, I wanted Miss Missouri. Oh well! I only got to watch the first 30 min anyway, and then my hubs made me change it.
ReplyDeleteI love the Giddy Up Del Mar. Yes, when you've got it marked down, just let me know what the sale price, and we'll talk. Hope the website is progressing well. :)
Oh yeah, and the right size too, a 10. :)
ReplyDeleteha it was very RARE that he watch something like that with me! How I got lucky I have no idea!
ReplyDeleteand yes...just waiting any second now for her to send me the link. I'll let you know and appreciate you doing a post for sure! That deserves some sort of extra discount for sure right? :)
Sounds good to me! :)
