Yesterday was my 26th birthday and my CIL {cousin-in-law} Jackie is 21 TODAY!!!:) Such a VERY exciting time for her, crossing into adulthood, feeling more mature than ever. Aaah...I just had a flash back to my 21st and it feels just like yesterday. Seriously, where does the time go? It's crazy how much can change within 5 short years...

Since my 21st birthday, I have...- lived in a different country
- become a USC and Zeta Tau Alpha Alumni
- bought a car for the first time
- been a bridesmaid several times
- planned a wedding of my own
- become a wife
- become an aunt
- lost two grandparents and my father
- gained an incredible extended family, my in-laws
- had 3 different jobs
- then finally started my own business
- made new friends
- remodeled a house for the first time
- added a new hobby of photography
- re-loved an old hobby of scrapbooking
- celebrated my baby sister's 21st, which made me feel very old!
Looking ahead at the next five years, I'm exciting to see what the Lord has in store for me and Chad. We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays together, hopefully being blessed with children, and someday work on building a new home. We are on the "downhill to 30" so we say, and more content and happy with our lives than ever. I have gained so much knowledge within the past decade, especially in the past 5 years. The Lord has opened my eyes and shown me first hand what He can do - and we all know, HE does BIG things. He has brought me through several dark valleys, and I am a better person because of them. I stand amazed as my cup overflows and will continue to take every blessing he pours out and turn it into praise.
