Twas the night before Thanksgiving...
and over at The McClains
a turkey was a' frying...
and it was calling my name!
My parents-in-law have started a tradition many many years before Chad and I started dating. They always have their family from Boone, NC come visit, plus friends and other family members over to deep fry a turkey, eat until we are stuffed, and have fun the night before Thanksgiving. Usually somewhere in the night my husband and friend Casey always break out their guitars and sing too.
I always look forward to relaxing and taking a break from my usual "Holiday time madness" at my store, to spend time with friends and family. The past two years we have had so many people that we have it in my father-in-law's huge shop. They deep fried two turkeys and had all the trimmings! Even though the crew from Boone couldn't make it since Brianne is due any day now =) , we thought about them and look forward to seeing them...and their new addition in a few weeks!
Here's a few photos from Wednesday night. I wish I had gotten more photos of everyone to put in my scrapbook. Our time together is even more fun now that we are all getting married/having kids, there are lots of children to watch play. They are so precious and had a ball running around playing in the big shop!
Here's one of my adorable twin nephews Maddox right after he indulged in his "Aunt Sanni's" puppy chow {aka, chex cereal covered in melted chocolate and powdered sugar}
I think it's safe to say he loved it. Who wouldn't love anything with powdered sugar? How CUTE!
now the other twin, Jackson wanted to be behind the camera and help me take a few photos...
here's sweet little Logan in his camoflauge
and maddox/jackson's cute cousin Cammie Lee
and precious Emerson
me and my sister. she is my heart.
court & chad always have to get a photo together...
Chad with his guitar ,of course. It's tradition!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and carried out your family traditions! We are certainly thankful for another year and another chance to spend time with wonderful friends and family.
