Our sweet Charlie turned six on July 2nd and we left for the beach the next day. What better way to celebrate!?! Friday morning I surprised him with his favorite little sausage biscuits...
and it was the start of a super fun day, weekend and week...
Saturday morning we loaded up to head to one of our favorites, Fripp Island SC!
We arrived at the house where we stayed with Chad's parents + grandma Frieda.
We were officially on island time!
the next day it was so fun to celebrate the 4th on the beach, complete with an Air Force flyover and aaaalll things red, white and blue.
I set up his "bday party" out on the awesome screened in porch while Chad & his dad grilled burgers...
these monogrammed cocktail napkins I ordered back when Charlie turned one (it's his initials + Cade's + Chad's too, so we certainly get our money's worth out of them)
the best part was the cake we road tripped all the way from Greenwood to Fripp, made by Sweet Treats! It took ice packs + a huge rubbermaid container but we did it.

we had other friends staying on the island too and it was fun for everyone to come over for cake and ice cream...
then we loaded up on golf carts and went over to one of their houses to watch fireworks!
the rest of the week was spent soaking in all the sunshine and salty kisses...
and making priceless memories with cousins...
and their precious great-grandmother Frieda. What a gift to be able to spend such awesome time with her...
Chad cooked his famous low country boil and it was delish, as always...
and we spent our nights watching movies, riding around to see the deer and get ice cream
and it just felt good to REST and snuggle my babies
we've been making memories at Fripp now for nearly a decade...
Cade's first trip was when he was six months old and now he's NINE!
always so thankful for sweet vacations.
