Happy October!
BOO Doormat // Striped Rug |
Can you believe it's the FIRST DAY OF OCTOBER?
It sure doesn't feel like it around here. 85ish degrees feels more like 95.
So ready for some Fall weather. I've officially decorate for Fall + Halloween but we will add more pumpkins and mums after we go to the pumpkin patch (and when it finally coooools off)
After working Saturday we had a few friends over and watched the Carolina/Kentucky game
*hands over eyes*
then Sunday we went to Anderson for a fun birthday party at Electric City Gymnastics for sweet Ella Grice + Target run! Target is a big deal because we don't have one in Greenwood , aka: I never go.
the beautiful birthday girl...
after a whirlwind of business lately + working the past two Saturdays, I finally took today off to get some things done! Charlie desperately needed a haircut so that was first on the list, then a big Sam's run and I was honestly just so excited about spending some QT with him while big bro Cade was at school.
Can you tell he was so excited too??
so grown!!!!
we cleaned up around the yard, switched out doormats and added new door hangers.
More of that coming up!
Then we had another soccer game tonight and I've also done 23894823 things inside + groceries + clean + meal plan. Waaaaahhhhhhhhh.
Lastly, I am going to jump on Rachel Hollis' #last90days challenge.
She inspires women to rise up and do their very best for the last 90 days of the year. A time when most feel burned out, overwhelmed and already thinking "I'll just wait til' next year..."
I'll try to do these "5 to Thrive" steps every day for the next 90 days (the busiest 90 days of the year for both me AND Chad since we work retail + deliver mail/packages)
I definitely need to get up earlier (to work out for those 30 minutes would be ideal). I definitely need to drink more water. I definitely need to cut out all dairy (causes inflammation in my face). I definitely need to take the time to reflect on my blessings every. single. day.
We are so consumed with comparisons, it's easy to go down the black hole. Actually acknowledging your blessings each day and the things you're grateful for versus the things you feel like you "need" or "want" or "don't have", is a heck of a lot better way to spend your time!!!
Who else will be jumping on board today??
