If you know me, you know I'm not one to read a ton of books. Ok, or maybe ANY books. I just don't have the time to sit in peace for hours (even at nighttime before bed because I'm so friggin tired!) and therefore I do good to read maybe 1-2 a year while on vacation or if there's just a REALLY good one that came out.
One thing I AM good at is multitasking. I drive thirty minutes one way to work everyday, so that's one full hour a day in the car + up to six hours a day driving on work trips to Atlanta and more. A LOT of time spent in the car. While I do love my jams, I recently downloaded the Podcast app to listen to more of Christy B Wright's Business Boutique after I did actually read that book while on vacation this Summer.
After listening to different podcasts to and from work everyday, I decided to download the Audible app and finally listen to Girl Wash Your Face since it was one I had been dying to read but never found the time. (news flash: it lives up to the hype and every women should read it) Being able to "read books" WHILE driving - aka making an everyday, mundane task USEFUL & beneficial - is a game changer.
After that I listened to "Love Your Life, Not Theirs" by Rachel Cruze (Dave Ramey's daughter). Another must read.
Rachel is part of Ramsey Solutions (the company Dave started) and Christy Wright is part of that too. Her book is great for any WOMAN wanting to start or grow their own business!
"God does not call you to live a small life" - Christy Wright
I want to attend her Business Boutique event in Nashville SO BAD now. Still on the table for discussion, but I definitely feel like I may have more time/saved funds to go next year. That's on the business 2019 bucket list.
Other podcasts I listen to is "The Influencer" by Julie Soloman, "Goal Digger" by Jenna Kutcher's, Dave Ramsey's "Entreleadership" and I also love Oprah's "Super Soul Conversations".
So again, this LIFE CHANGING.
I was never big into reading fiction books and always loved reading self help/motivational/inspirational/devotional books (ya girl is definitely always in need of some self help, Lort). Now also having podcasts for inspiration/motivation/continued learning is huge.
If you listen to podcasts regularly, do share some of your favorites...
