Happy 2018!
I was under the weather this weekend with a stupid head cold (Charlie was recovering and on antibiotics for an ear infection / congestion) so we stayed in all day Saturday and Sunday too! (with a quick trip to the grocery store Sunday night to grab NYE dinner necessities) Even though I felt pretty crummy, it was nice to get some things organized/cleaned at home and spend some time playing and playing with these silly boys...
Cade wanted to make confetti on Sunday...
and they also wanted these fun glasses and party horns from Bi-Lo!
We cooked spaghetti (Cade's request), salad and breadsticks for our last meal of 2017 + chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream! We watched Ryan Seacrest's Rockin NYE show and had fun dancing around the living room to Britney Spears (ok, maybe I danced and they laughed but you know she's my fav...)
Charlie stayed up til 11:40 and Cade until well after midnight when we finally conked out! He had fun drawing more masterpieces too like this McDonalds Happy Meal, which I thought was hilarious...
We definitely enjoyed NYE in our warm home (how in the world did those people in NYC stand the cold??? AAAHHHH) with our pjs on.
On New Years Day I was busy cleaning for friends to come over then we watched the Gamecocks at noon while we wore our Gamecock gear. What A GAME!!!!!!!! Still can't believe it;
The boys went over to Mimi & Papa's to spend the night since Cade had begged to stay one night during Christmas break and well, Cade starts back to school Thursday!
Chad and the men had been busy cooking pork loin , prime rib and collards all day. Friends brought more food and we had a true New Years Day feast. Collards & black eyed peas for good luck...
Even though my Clemson lovin' husband and Clemson friends didn't love the way the big night's game ended, we all still had a fun time in the shop (and were all way too tired this morning, that's for sure)
Here's to more fun times with friends and family in 2018!
Oh and check back tomorrow as I'll be sharing some of my top favorites from the Lilly Pulitzer AFTER PARTY SALE that we will have available at Sugar :)
