CHRISTMAS EVE
We somehow managed to make it out the door in time for a quick pic before church even though Cade refused to wear his new gingham bow tie and Charlie refused to wear his "church shoes" (so grey Nike sneaks, it was. I pick my battles) and I honestly refused to wash my hair. I mean, whatevs.
It was a struggle bus, but we MADE IT and enjoyed an amazing church service celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. Seriously, the BEST. I may or may not have cried the entire time singing O Holy Night! Mush mom, yep. Right here.
After church, I went straight to work (we were open 1-5pm) while Chad took the boys back home and then eventually to his parents. I came home , changed, rounded up gifts then went to his parents for a casual Christmas Eve complete with steaks, baked potatoes and salad. Yum.
I wore this Charlie Southern sweatshirt from Sugar and it was super comfy over leggings. Not to mention Home Alone is one of my all time favs. It's 1/2 off now if you want to snag one for next year!
kisses under the mistletoe with this baby are THE BEST.
the presents are ridiculous at Mimi & Papa's house. they seriously go ALL out!
Cade got a kids "gopro" and said it was for his "vlogging". Yeah, look for lots of that in 2018! LOL
Charlie loved his new Muck boots, toddler trampoline and so much more...
When we got home, we had a surprise "goodbye" from Skip who was heading back to the North Pole that night!
We quickly left out Oreos and milk for Santa , then made it to bed!
CHRISTMAS DAY
Christmas morning it was AAAAALL about these priceless faces. This year we decided to do the four gifts from Santa : want, need, wear, red + a gift from Chad & I + a gift from each other + stocking stuffers. The boys didn't even flinch , they were just ecstatic about their new "dirtbikes" - honestly all they wanted or cared about. We really simplified and it proved to be a huge success!
so surprised, he didn't know what to think...
we had to go test them out...
then we loaded up and went over to Aunt Coco & Uncle Mack's to open more presents with my side of the family and have brunch in our pjs!
Macy had so much fun this Christmas, she was just in awe!
but out of all the presents, these two were perfectly content playing with a box!
and I don't even know if I've shared this on the blog because it's been so crazy but YES, my sister is having baby #2 in May - a BOY - Mack Seal Hite, Jr. and we are so so excited!
He has been the best little surprise ;)
grumpy little elf. hahaha
a poinsettia pillow is behind Charlie's head, which makes it hilarious.
gosh, I love this crew!
It was such a great weekend soaking up time with the fam and enjoying our BEST GIFT: each other!
Ready to wrap up this fun year and kick off another. Sure to be one of the best yet, I just have a feeling.
HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!
