prayers for vegas.

Monday, October 2, 2017

I was going to do a weekend rewind post this morning, but once again our country woke up to more horrifying news. The most unimaginable, this time out of Vegas.

The largest mass shooting in US's history. EVER. 50+ people DIED. Over 500 taken to the hospital. OVER 500!!!!!! Folks, they were just at a concert doing regular things such as you and I do all the time. Just doing what they love. A massacre all because of one person. One person with so much hate in his heart. It's absolutely terrifying.

Terrifying that we live in a world where there IS so much hate and terrifying that we are now at a point where doing simple fun activities like going to the movies, going to sports events, and now concerts can be life threatening. Chad and I were JUST talking about buying tickets to take Cade to Jason Aldean's concert in Greenville coming up October 21st because that's his favorite singer. Again, helpless people just hanging out with friends and family doing what they love and listening to country music, one of our favorite things.

How did we get here? I am seriously still baffled and know only one thing: this world needs a lot more love and a lot less hate...and more Jesus. My heart breaks for everyone affected by this tragedy. I can't imagine what the LVPD has experienced over the last 24 hours. Those working in that hospital. Can you even think about 500 injured victims coming in? Like an episode of Grey's Anatomy but THIS IS NOW REAL LIFE. It's absolutely sickening.

Many prayers for everyone in Vegas who is dealing with this horror. Many prayers for our country. Many prayers for more love and less hate.

MAY GOD BE WITH THEM.

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

-Psalm 34
