Whew, we've finally had a "normal" week. Busy, but we've all finally kicked strep (Cade had it twice, Chad, then me) and also no hurricanes that are closing school, etc... Thankful we're all well and hope we stay this way! Nothing compares to the "NOT NORMAL" those in Florida and Texas are still experiencing, as well as the Carribean. Many prayers for those who are still recovering from Hurricane Harvey and Irma. We just don't know how lucky we are guys...
So on a lighter note, here's what we've been up to...

With all the sicknesses lately, I hopped on the bandwagon and finally purchased a Young Living essential oil kit to help ward off all of more sicknesses this Fall/Winter (especially now that Cade is in public school, I know it will be rough), help with sleep and also stress. I'm such an anti-medicine person and would much rather use routes like this to help ease ailments and keep our house well. Chad asked if I was going to do some sort of "voodoo" with these oils to which I replied "if it keeps us WELL, then yes." Call it whatever you want to call it. Here's to praying it works! We ran the Thieves throughout the house yesterday and the Lavender at night. Definitely lovin' it so far. Smells amazing...

another new purchase is Tarte's Dream Big Palette that has the most gorgeous rust and jewel and purple tones + brown + golds. I just love it for Fall especially. These are my colors!
Also purchased OPI's new "That's What Friends Are For" for Fall and it's the perfect deep brown (almost black). Also love.
Will do a gameday outfit post soon, but if you're a Gamecock fan like me then DON'T MISS these jeans. The top has already sold out (more fun black and white stripes coming soon) but the jeans are the absolute perfect shade of garnet. Click the links below to shop!

On Wednesday we kicked off our first Wine Down Wednesday event at Sugar that we will host every third Wednesday during the school year. Teachers...busy mamas....tired college students....COME ON OVER and treat yo'self! Whew, lawd knows we deserve it. It's a great chance to unwind, sip wine and enjoy fun promotions and specials. Our next one will be October 18th if you're in town and we will debut our brand new logo - which I am so, so excited about. That was one of the things I wanted to do before Sugar's10 Year Anniversary in April. An entire re-branding project and this is the first step!

Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by!

Speaking of our "To-Do" list before Sugar's 10 Year Anniversary, another goal was to wallpaper our bathroom (our dressing rooms + behind the front counter have wallpaper) since it's just been "blah" and neglected since we moved into our new space two years ago!
We decided to mimic the leopard print on the Thibaut Cheetah Wallpaper that's behind the checkout. You can NEVER go wrong with an animal print (in my opinion) and it's an easy "neutral" that so many fun fabrics/art will go with. We chose the Javan leopard print by Thibaut in the silver colorway. It goes up on October 4th and I can't wait to do a before/after. It's going to be a huge (much needed) transformation in such a tiny space.
Soooo many posts coming soon because I sure need to document lots!
Hope everyone has a great weekend
xoxo
