eight years ago today, I truly married my best friend.
we literally had been friends for years, then college happened. life happened. we went years without even talking to each other but when we finally did - I knew he was the one I wanted to spend forever with.
and God also knew exactly what He was doing and how much we would need each other to get through this thing called life.
since our engagement nine years ago, we've buried a groomsman (Chad's first cousin Drew), we've buried a parent (my dad who passed unexpectedly one month before my wedding), we've buried two uncles and four grandparents. we've had our hearts broken by a miscarriage before we were then blessed with two perfect, healthy boys. we've started a business. we've moved a business. we've remodeled a house. we've sold a house. we've built a house.
we've worked hard. we've played hard.
we've cried. we've laughed. we've loved.
this year hasn't been the easiest, but it's strengthened our marriage in ways we could never imagine...having thought all of the heartache and valleys we've went through together had brought us the closest we could get. Nope. Life has a way of throwing curve balls and in the end, you realize that it's just us. a team...together...forever.

Cheers to my best friend, the love of my life on 8 sweet years and cheers to the adventures ahead in this life we have built for ourselves. I couldn't love it {or you} more!
