How is my "baby" going to be FOUR next week?
I took the pic above last night as he laid there so sweetly sleeping on the couch. Ugh, I wish I could just freeze time because he is growing up entirely too fast. I feel like I was just pregnant with him and now he's in preschool, starting t-ball, and before long he will be picking up his date for prom.
See how fast that goes? Make it stop.
More on my birthday boy later, but today I thought it would be fun to share a few fun finds that I've snagged lately. Boys can be tricky to dress as it seems there's never as much cuteness as there is in the girls section, but I always manage to find fun things and I always LOVE the sometimes challenge of dressing my boys!
First up, I always look for Mini Boden sales on their website or Nordstrom...
Mini Boden "Bathers" Printed Swim Trunks
Cade stays outside, is so hard on his shoes, and gets dirty as I don't know what so easy-to-wear and easy-to-clean shoes are a must. I buy him Crocs for playing outside in Spring/Summer (rainboots or waterproof boots for Fall/Winter) and Native shoes. He's had the navy with white bottom and I will say the white bottoms are very hard to keep clean, so this year we may go for these!
Jumping around but Vineyard Vines end-of-season sales also make my life a lot easier. I recently stocked up for both Cade AND Chad, all at once. For Sunday church, great pants and tees I love Vineyard Vines and they really have AWESOME SALES. I snagged this fun oxford at the last sale (it was 50% OFF all sale items)
I am definitely obsessed with shoes, always have been and when it comes to buying for my boys it's no different. They have WAY too many pairs of shoes, but I can't help it. I buy 95% of their shoes on sale, even if I have to buy ahead a few sizes and chance it. You know their feet will always grow and if it's shoes like Toms they really can be worn for a majority of the months out of the year, so it's a no brainer. He got these for Christmas (Charlie got the baby ones to match. Weeeee!)
and I really have my eye on some fun ones that are on sale right now...
More fun Mini Boden that I love. This reversible hoodie is like two outfits in one.
I still buy him traditional applique tees, some smocked tees to pair with gingham pants, etc... because after all he is still three and still very much a "toddler" I feel like until he is five. I love Shrimp & Grits Kids and Kelly's Kids for cute "outfits". Also Bailey Boys and Le Top from The Frilly Frog right here in Greenwood, next door to me now at Sugar.
Another brand I love is Southern Tide! The kids tees are fun yet make him feel like he's looking just like his daddy :)
same with this Patagonia hat that I just snagged him for his birthday. Can't wait for him to wear this ton this Summer!
Speaking of Summer, my favorite brand would be Prodoh for beach days. With it's SPF 50 and quick dry material, it's a must have for little boys. They wash well and wear well. Also founded right here in SC. Cade has both the fishing shirts and the shorts (which can be worn as swim trunks or regular shorts. Win, win) Love!!!
A few of my other places I shop to find fun boy styles would be Gap, J Crew, Kellys Kids, Beaufort Bonnet Company, and Tar-jay of course. I'm always looking for new fun boy lines though, so do share if you have any I must check out!
Happy Friday!
Looking forward to kicking off Cade's week long birthday celebration tomorrow :)
xoxo
