favorites & a prayer request

A few of my favorites lately...

The Katie Dress

Availble in seven colors now at Sugar and only $39.99! After you wear one, you'll want one of each color. Insanely comfy, a heavier knit that isn't super clingy but yet hangs perfectly on the body. Flattering. Versatile. Ridiculously soft. I've got the black and garnet right now (le duh!) but really want every single one. I've worn under a scarf, under a long slouchy cardigan, under a fur vest...the possibilities are endless and you can make them look different each time you wear them. Only available for a limited time, so don't miss them! A great transition piece that will take you straight into Spring...

It's a game changer. I dabbled into contouring over a year ago using different concealers and my favorite Mac bronzer, but this contour kit is THA BOMB. I'm going to do a post soon with more makeup favorites, but I loved this kit so much that I got my sister one for Christmas.

I use the top three lighter powders for under eye and highlighting and the bottom three for bronzers. I didn't really understand the concept of "giving depth to your face" until I watched a few YouTube tutorials but I swear even super simple, quick contouring makes a difference. I may not use it every single day (some days = lazy) but it's nice to have when I want to really put my best face forward. Literally.

I've had this for a while from Blossom Shoes & Such in Uptown Greenwood (like nearly two years now) and I can honestly say it's my favorite bag. EVER. I'm more of a shoe girl than a handbag girl, so I usually choose to carry just one really great neutral and this one is the best!! It's the perfect size, just like a little square box when it opens so things don't get "lost". The straps are perfect too. Long enough, but not too long. Seriously, if you invest in this purse it's all you need and you will not regret it.

The last season of American Idol!

Can't believe I've watched almost every single season since the very beginning and took my sister to Memphis and then Charleston to try out (yes...I still think she should have gotten one of those darn golden tickets). Chad and I have always loved watching and I hope it's a good season...

Lastly, because she's one of my absolute FAVORITE people...I wanted to post a prayer request for my sweet friend Jamey. Also my store manager as of this past August and as you've seen in a recent post her and her husband were finally blessed with TWINS (after a long road of trying to conceive, seeing specialists, different procedures). They found out they were having one boy, one girl. Everything was going great, just a dream come true. Ecstatic!!! Then, about the middle of December the doctors realized she may have some complications with her cervix and ordered strict bed rest. She has since had further complications and been admitted to the hospital several times and she is barely 23 WEEKS this week so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, I beg you, PRAY for these precious babies and this brave, worried, physically & emotionally drained mama. I just don't see how in the world she is handling all of this and I don't understand for the life of me why God is putting them through all of this. It's so hard not to question WHY... but I do have so much faith and peace that these babies are going to be ok. It's just beyond scary and know it's hard for this family to see light at the end of the tunnel right now...

so again, please join me in praying for the Lord to wrap his arms around these two babies until it's safe to deliver...and pray for strength for this mama (and her husband). These babies are loved so much already!!

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

    1. Thanks Ashley! She's had several scares of pre-term later and they are just trying so hard to at least make it to 28 weeks (5 more weeks) so the viability % will be greater. I just can't imagine. She is so, so scared. First pregnancy. Thanks for the prayers!!!
