{Cade's Room: Christmas edition}
I realized I never posted Cade's room in the Home Sweet Home "tour" and since it was clean (rare) this past week, I thought I'd snap a few pics and post.
Light: West Elm
Mirror: TJ Maxx years ago (we had in our sunroom before)
Curtains: Land of Nod (but they're a smidge too short and I need tie backs)
Bed + Dresser: antique, from my grandparents. painted BM Hale Navy
Paint Color: Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray
Bedding: Target (comforter) + Serena & Lily (sham) + Garnet Hill (Christmas sheets)
Christmas decorations a'la Cade...
I used a lot of Ikea furniture in Cade's nursery and continued to incorporate this super inexpensive piece in his big boy room. It holds most of his books and small toys. The "you are my sunshine" print and lamp was part of his nursery as well. I was going to hang the print, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
The sliding barn door happened partly because we didn't realize there wasn't enough room for all the doors the house plan called for in that tiny bathroom + not planning a pocket door + I just loved the way it looked and thought it would be something cool. The barn door hardware is from Artisan Hardware and yes, Cade loves his cool door. Especially since he had to have the smaller room of the two bedrooms (the other room was slightly bigger with more wall space, which we needed for all the nursery furniture) so I'm glad my big boy has one of the coolest features in the house. Now, if he (or his brother) just don't tear it off the tracks. Eeesh.
Still love my decision to paint my grandfather's antique bed + dresser. Benjamin Moore Hale Navy is ALWAYS a winner in my book. Obsessed!
I also have not regretted painting the kids bathroom cabinets Sherwin Williams Dill. Nope, not one bit. Still every bit obsessed with it as the day they were installed.

A view of Cade's room from the bathroom. It's crazy how the paint color (Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray) looks nothing like photographed in this pic. It looks so yellow/beige here, but the next pic (a close up) reflects the true color. Still have some fun antlers to hang over that "C" but again, work in progress.
I've had this "tub" for toys since Cade was an infant. It's almost on it's last leg, but I love these for chunking toys in a hurry for fast cleanup (which is everyday around our house)
Cade's room called for a reach in closet and I knew him being a boy his clothes would never be tooooo excessive (but then again I am a shopaholic highly addicted to buying my kids clothes) but I knew I wanted it to be super organized, so I splurged on the Martha Stewart closet organizer from Home Depot and I love it!! I need more "s hooks" to hang on middle rod for his hats, ties, etc as he gets older, but there's so much room in this closet and a lot more fun {and cute} ways I can organize it in the future.
So that's our Cade man's big boy room! Again, we re-used a lot from his nursery (a lot of the orange from there) and when it's not the fun Christmas sheets, it's navy/white gingham which works so well too. Now, if it only looked just as clean as these pics again! #boys
