This past Friday I geared up to direct my third or fourth wedding ever? I have lost count now and it's certainly not something I plan to do even part-time, just doing it for people I love for the time being :) It's definitely stressful, but I do love being behind the scenes and there's just something about weddings...gets me every time.
I am such a detail-oriented person who loves planning logistics of how the day will go, down to the minute, so directing doesn't even seem like a "job" for me. Especially when you have fun brides to work with (who also happen to be some of your sister's best friends). It becomes a piece of cake. Eeeeh, almost a piece of cake. Ha!
Here we are leaving the rehearsal at First Baptist of Clinton (both the bride and groom went to PC. That's how they met!) and we're all happy to be done and heading to the rehearsal dinner!
Random, but when I came home from the rehearsal dinner I had stopped to get Cade sparklers for the first time. No pics of all that = major fail, but I did snag this of him holding his favorite thing - his daddy's iPad!
Saturday it was go time. Cade went for a boat ride with Mimi, Papa, Uncle Timmy and cousins and I headed to the church after lunch. It was a stunning church. Just gorgeous!
The ceremony was perfect. Surprise bag-pipes and all! The bride and groom walked back down the aisle to the pianist playing "I Got A Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas. Then at the ceremony when they did introductions, they surprised everyone with a choreographed dance to "Turn Down for What". Fun couple, I tell ya. Super fun.
Here's me and my sister Courtney. She was a bridesmaid, wedding soloist, and her husband Mack a groomsman since him and the groom, Nate, were roomates at PC (and baseball teammates) all four years.
Some of the gals with the beautiful bride. Her dress...stunning! This pic does not do justice. I loved all the bling!
I didn't get home until around 1am from the wedding Saturday night, so needless to say yesterday I was pretty lazy. We did manage to have impromptu dinner with our friends that live near by and Cade had a little too much fun with Emerson and Blakely's Minnie Mouse headphones. Hilarious. He sure does love his "girl" friends!
So that was our weekend.
Now looking forward to a four day week. Sooooo excited!
