First up, I was so excited to find The Nesting Place on Joss & Main recently, I just had to bite the bullet and order. "It doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful" is one of my favorite new quotes, thanks to The Nester. I love her style, her love of imperfections, and all things unique and beautiful. I can not wait to dive in to this book.
Friday morning I met with a rep and ordered some holiday goodies. YES I said holiday. We are already thinking about Christmas. Have mercy. I couldn't decide between these fun metallic snakeskin elbow patch sweaters, so I ordered them both!
The cu-test coats and blazers on order as well.
Friday night Sugar was one of the stops on SC's Festival of Flowers Topiaries and Tastings night! It's a fabulous wine walk in Uptown Greenwood and we had a yummy sweet moscato (of course) and desserts. Everyone loved it, Flynn's provided all the wine, and they SOLD OUT of tickets. 475 people came through. Amazing night!
Saturday evening we went back to Greenwood to my sister and bro-in-law's house for dinner for a fun cook out. It does stink that I drive 40 minutes one way to Greenwood to work every day and then on days I am off I never want to drive back over there. Wish they lived closer, but another plus of us moving to Due West is that we will at least 15 minutes closer to them. They live in a little subdivision next door to Greenwood High. Their house is the cutest and I am loving the new Ballard Design Orb Chandelier in their foyer that I scored for her at Ballard Backroom a few weeks ago. Less than $100! I swear, it is worth the trip. Always amazing deals.
Sunday was "Sunday Funday", with lots of fun with friends and cousins at Aunt Monk & Uncle Wayne's pool!
Yes Cade is wearing one of the girl's puddle jumpers. Real men wear pink, right?
The sun was beaming, it was so hot but the pool felt great and we thoroughly enjoyed our "first official weekend of Summer". Bring it on!
