our weekend

Our weekend went by sooo fast. I was off on Saturday and spent the whole day cleaning (BLEH!). I was able to switch out Cade's closet to Spring, but I didn't put the jackets too far away and I didn't clean out his dresser full of play clothes. Plenty of long sleeves and pants in there because um yeah, 49 degrees is the high tomorrow. Spring, ya killin me! I'd say Cade was ready for Spring though...

Saturday night Chad and I had a date night, which was so fun and much needed. We had planned to go to the home show in Greenville, but settled for dinner at J Peters in Anderson and walking around Home Depot to get a few supplies for my next furniture-redo project. Love date nights and being able to catch up from the week!

Sunday I helped host a shower for one of my "work friends". I call her my "work friend", because as you all know I'm self employed and only have two part time employees that come in sporadically throughout the week, but Kimberly here opened a shoe store, Blossom, just a few doors down about a year after I opened Sugar. We travel to order Lilly Pulitzer together (along with Lisa, the owner of The Frilly Frog - kids store next door to Blossom) and have become great "work friends". It is nice because yes there are many days when I am all alone some days at Sugar and have zero co-workers. It's also so great to have friends who relate and struggle with the same exact situations as I do.

All that being said, her shower was fabulous and baby Lucy got SO many precious things (a LOT of pink and green of course!) Can't believe she will be here in just a few weeks. Geez, Kimberly looks amazing, doesn't she?
I'm wearing Jude Connally and she's wearing Lilly Pulitzer Yvette Wrap Dress, both available at Sugar.

Monday I started feeling super yucky. Sore throat, unbelievably achy. I had no clue what was going on. Tuesday I woke up feeling even worse and went to the doctor pronto because we had a huge fashion show today (Sugar, Blossom, The Frilly Frog, and Voila for Greenwood Women's Club. Such a great time!) I spent a lot of time on the couch resting and catching up on my latest magazines and thankfully, after meds, I felt soooo much better today. No time to be sick around these parts!

Also my time on the couch resting (which I NEVER do) led to several online purchases. Awesome clearance deals at least, but I'll share more on those later! This is why I don't need to sit around, be bored, and "resting". My wallet needs me to stay busy. Seriously.

Side note: Can you believe there are no pics of Cade in this weekend recap? A first. I also took him to the doctor Monday for a sinus infection. Booooo, we have not had a great week. Praying for WELLNESS and warm, sunny days ahead. Loving daylight savings time so far and can't wait to soak in more sunshine!!
