So I blinked and he is two.

That's what they don't tell you. 

Everyone failed to mention that somehow the second year flies by faster than the first! 

At least, for us it did. Now, we officially have a toddler! 

I decided to have Cade's birthday party the weekend after his actual birthday (next weekend) since I was so consumed directing a wedding this past weekend. We did decide last minute Sunday to have a few friends over to watch the Superbowl, so it only seemed fitting that I get Cade a Superbowl cookie cake and let him blow out candles at least.

Chad grilled his famous chicken poppers, and we had a low key meal and watched that low key game (understatement). Cade had a ball hanging out with his cousins and some of his best buds.

Yesterday, the 3rd, was his actual birthday. I sent cupcakes to Mrs. Kim's and also brought home pizza and my sister, mom, and Chad's parents came over and brought him a few gifts. 

He blew out candles again (on the leftover cookie cake. Don't judge) and for now, why yes, I will savor him being thrilled with the little things (like blowing out candles on a leftover piece of cookie cake)

I want to do an official "two year old update" post soon and there will be lots of party pics after this weekend. For now, I'm just going to sit here a little longer...still in slight shock...wondering how my itty bitty baby turned into a little boy overnight.
