a really good surprise.

 Surprises. 

You know I love a good surprise! 

I love planning them, seeing people surprised, and watching them on TV. 

I may have had a few "surprising" moments in my life, but they were never really "good", per say. Now that I think about it ... yeah, most all have been really bad tragedies. 

So when I walked in to a restaurant last Saturday night thinking I was attending one of my best friend's engagement parties, I was really in for one of the BEST surprises of my life!

There stood all of my closest friends, some driving as far as from N. Myrtle Beach and Charleston.

Tears welled up, I was a big honkin' mess.

Disbelief. Seriously?

A 30th birthday party planned by my sweet husband, sister, mom, in-laws, 

sister & brother in law and closest friends? 

They really know how to make a girl feel special!

Awesome band. Good food. Great friends. 

If I could have dreamed of the most perfect 30th birthday party, this would have been it.

Everyone had an amazing time!

I don't have a ton of pictures, since I didn't really have my camera out and my sis in law took most, but hope to post more soon. I just really can't thank everyone enough for coming out to the party and making my 30th THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER. I love each and every one of you and will say it again and again...I am beyond blessed to have y'all in my life!

To those who planned and pulled off this great feat (you know who you are and yes, y'all know I kept saying I could never be surprised)....

well....you got me.

The birthday celebrations continued throughout the week. On Friday, just three days after my own 30th, one of my best friends (the one who I thought I was showing up at her engagement party) turned 30 as well. We have been friends since birth. No really. We were born three days apart, in the same hospital just rooms apart, and our moms were best friends.

We had fun celebrating her birthday this past Friday night in Anderson!

So yep, now we're all 30 and so far, it feels fabulous.
