So we got back from North Myrtle on Thursday at 1pm. Well at 3pm, Chad turned around and went to Santee with the boys for a fishing trip. Yes, he is certified crazy.
While we were sad to see him go, we started unpacking and doing laundry. Then Cade and I had lots of snuggle time and "trac trac video" time. He's still obsessed with this particular "trac trac" video on YouTube we show him on our phones, but now (praise the Lord) my sis in law gave me a John Deere Tractor DVD for him to watch and he. is. obsessed. Just look...
this was taken after bath time. He refused to put pants on |
Seriously I have never seen him sit in his chair and watch TV that long! He wants nothing to do with cartoons, but tractors...Lord help us, he can't get enough.
We spent some time cuddling watching Animal Planet and he may or may not have fallen asleep in our bed. I texted Chad and told him he better hurry home because Cade was trying to take over!
Sunday was an exciting day. It was this mama's day out!
Cade stayed with Mimi & Papa while I met Beth to head to Charlotte so I could finally meet Kate from Set This Circus Down. We were so excited to meet baby Trace!
Yes, this chick right here in the middle just had a baby. You'd never know right?
She looks amazing!
This was my first "blogger meet up" I guess. I've talked back and forth with Kate on Twitter and such and knew her and Beth had met several times and become great friends. I felt like I knew her already just from Beth telling me all about her. Kate and her husband Bryan even came to the Abbeville Deb Ball with Beth! I just always missed them, so it was great to finally meet up.
We had a yummy lunch on Lake Norman.
and Auntie Beth spoiled sweet baby Trace :) She's good at that. The best!
Then we headed over to Southpark for a little shopping and Cheesecake Factory action.
Beth had the chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake and I tried the new Oreo Extreme Dream.
How can you go wrong with ANY of their cheesecakes?
Within 5 minutes, no lie, of being in SouthPark I had already done damage.
I can. not. pass. up. a. good. deal.
Polo, pants, and a belt for Chad (no not to wear together. He just didn't have any VV pink! ha) then two tshirts and shorts for Cade. Could not believe in their tiny sale section, it was mostly ALL sizes I needed for my boys. Guess what my total was for ALL of this?
$106 after tax.
Yep, that's right. The original price on the club pants alone were $79.99
I would say I did good! They have extra 40% off sale items so if you're in Charlotte, hurry hurry!
Auntie Beth was so sweet to get Cade another "truck" book and we were so excited it featured daddy's truck - the MAIL truck! Even though Chad doesn't technically drive a mail truck since he's a rural carrier, not city, it was still cute that she found a book with this in it. Cade absolutely loves it.
My mom is probably freaking out that he has a paci in this pic (we are trying to wean him off of it) but in my defense he found it in his carseat when we got in to head to Mrs. Kim's yesterday morning!
They're everywhere. I even found one in my pocket the other day! Geez.
What a great weekend! We can't wait to go back and visit!
I miss that little dude. when's the next sleepover? and I say the next time we go visit Kate and Baby Trace, we let Baby Cade tag along.
ReplyDeletesunday was probably the best day I've had in a while. can't wait to do it again.
