a day to celebrate!

Why the celebration? Well today Cade is 14 months and it's also Grami's BIRTHDAY (my mom)

Quick update on wild man.
Cade at 14 months brings two words to mind: an adventure.

Can I get an amen?

Every day he learns something new and he constantly keeps us laughing, smiling, and well - cautious!
You just never know what he's going to do next and he's into everything.

His ears and adenoids have healed perfectly since his surgery, BUT then he had tummy issues (hellooo Miralax, per the doctor) and he has four molars coming in (well two, already has two as of this week)

He has 10 teeth now and two more on the way. No wonder he doesn't feel good.
It has been one thing after another and we're still trying to straighten out this tummy sitch.
Just so ready for him to feel 100% better!!

He LOVES books, his bubbles, and anything with wheels. He is obsessed with riding on the "Bulldog", 4 Wheeler, or lawnmower with his Papa. He still loves music and boy loves to dance.

He loves our phones and even though we have passcodes now, he still tries to figure it out. He has learned to say "hello", "uh oh", "Mimi", "mil mil" (milk milk), "arrraaah" (when asked what a monster says) and "Who dat?" in addition to "mama", "dada", "bye bye" and "what a turkey and dog says" ("dobble dobble" and barking noise) Sometimes he begins talking like crazy in some foreign language. Who knows what he's saying but now he has started to point at things he wants (sippy cup, food...mostly food, go figure) and begin "talking" frantically until I give it to him.

This is his "Who dat" face. Anytime he hears something loud, even a big truck going down the road, he will whisper "Who dat!?" Hilarious. It's because he's heard us say it a million times.

Cade has also developed quite the temper. I tweeted this pic earlier this week with the caption "Are y'all sure terrible two's don't begin at 14 months?" Have mercy.

He is pitching full out FITS and gets so mad when you don't give him what he wants. This is for everyone who thinks Cade just laughs and smiles all the time. Um, negative.

He has been drinking a lot of prune juice lately and he looooves it. He's also eating us out of house and home. No seriously. At first I thought it was just the steroids after the surgery making him so hungry, but big boy has developed quite the appetite lately. He's back to doing more baby food and lots more fruits/veggies for his tummy.

In spite of the fits and temper tantrums, he is also such a loving baby. He loves to give "sug sug" and knows how to give hugs. When he wakes up super early as Chad leaves for work, sometimes I will bring him into our room and he will fall back asleep with me (rare, because most of the time when he's up, he's up) When he does, our special cuddle time is priceless. He will just wrap those sweet arms around my neck and lay there, so precious. There's nothing like this time with him. He's a mama's boy when he's sleepy and it's bedtime, but he's a daddy's boy during the day when it's time to play outside!

Time is FLYING by. Our Easter lunch Sunday was partly for my mom and sister's birthday celebration but this weekend we hope to cook for mom and celebrate even more. She deserves it!

Happy Birthday Grami
 We love you!!
