one for the books.

 Just a few pics from our weekend. The reason it was "one for the books" was hands down, definitely the George Strait concert in Greenville Friday night. He was one of those on my concert bucket list and I'm so glad we got to go to the show.

I have to share this picture first though. Some may have already seen it on my Instagram, but last week I knew Cade was being mighty quiet and honestly I thought he was playing with one of his toys on the other side of the couch. I could hear him, being right there on the couch, but couldn't see him. Mom fail. Well low and behold within just a minute or so, this little "credit card thief" had torn apart my entire purse. Note to self: never leave my purse on the floor or anywhere within Cade's reach. Then as I went over to take a pic, he tried to flee the crime scene. Bah! Never a dull moment with this child.

Chad left Thursday evening for another hunting trip in Alabama. His last for a while (so he says!) On Friday, I knew it was going to be a busy day. I was up early at 6am to get ready to head to Greenwood and do Brittany's (my store manager) makeup for her bridal portraits that day!

After I worked 10-6, it was time to rush to Greenville to catch the big show.
The #OOTN was a denim iT Jeans jacket, Rain sequin tank, COH skinnies and cowboy boots (of course). We've got this entire look at Sugar and the tank is even on sale and it's fabulous.
  I'm going to add it to our website today because I just realized it's not up. Oh and lots of other new markdowns will be added to the site today FYI.

Hey, I figured that if anyone deserved sequins it was George, the KING of country!
I still can't believe Chad passed up George Strait for a hunting trip (in his defense, he had seen him in concert before) so of course I took my sis since she bought me the tickets for my birthday back in January. She is the best sista eva. Her birthday is coming up this week so it was the perfect way to kick off her fun week of celebrating the big 2-5. Love this girl more than she will ever know!

Martina McBride opened but she was SO sick, yet mustered up enough vocals for three or four songs. George, on the other hand, performed over 20 songs. It was a packed house, as you can see, and we had a great time! One thing for sure, the Hall sisters grew up on classic country music. Our first concert was Reba McIntire and Randy Travis. I mean c'mon now. Our dad sang all. the. time. and even recorded a gospel music cd. We definitely inherited his love for music and all of the old George Strait songs brought back a lot of memories. If daddy were still here, y'all know he would have been sitting right beside us in this picture that's for sure!

Saturday and Sunday were mommy + baby Cade day. No work, all play.
We had a blast at Maddox & Jackson's birthday party. Still can not believe our twin nephews will be SIX this week. Just unreal! Such a fun time at Jumping Jax...

However, it has rained for five years straight on the days my sis in law has planned the boy's birthday party, so when Saturday rolled around, what happened? Yep, you guessed it. Rain. Make that six straight years. Can not believe it's the third weekend in March and we're still tromping around in fleeces and heavy coats. Ugh, I am so over this cold weather and don't think I've ever been this ready for Spring!! Anyone else feeling this way?

After their party, we hopped over to another friend's party then were able to spend time with Sweetbef.  Sunday was full of even more rain and doing absolutely nothing. We did have lunch with Chad's family because the cousins were down from Boone and it's always great to see them. Then Cade and I were SO glad to see Chad arrive a little after lunch, but Chad said he could tell that we "partied all weekend", because all Cade and I did was nap :) Nothing better than naps and snuggling with my baby boy. With my schedule, it is rare so we all thoroughly enjoyed a lazy, rainy Sunday.

I've got lots of party pics coming up next, stay tuned!
{told y'all I was going to pull back out my big camera. Happy Monday!}
