I hate thinking of blog post titles sometimes. Sorry.
I am also sorry that here lately all of my blog pics have been my Instagram pics
[follow me: sandimcclain]. I rarely get out my big camera anymore, but I'm making a point to change that this Spring. We'll see. It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend this past weekend. Now the forecast says high of 45 for this Saturday? Are you kidding me? Such a tease.
Friday night we had a much needed girls night out in Greenville where we dined at a new restaurant, Southern Culture. It was SOOOO good! There were six of us and we definitely split three (yes, three) appetizers. I mean, who could pass up tots with pimento cheese fondue? An amazing cheese plate complete with butterbean hummus {amaze}? Pulled pork nachos? Yeah, didn't think so. By the time the waitress came around to order, we were stuffed but I had the Apple Jack Chopped Salad and it was delish. It's out on N Pleasantburg Drive, so if you're in the area - GO!
Told you I was chopping my hair Thursday. This isn't the best pic because it looks weird on one side, but I love it! |
Who doesn't love waking up to this sweet face on a Saturday morning?
Looking just like his daddy...
I needed to go to work to do a few things Saturday afternoon so after Cade and I hit up Chick Fil A for lunch, my sister took Cade to watch Uncle Mack's baseball game (he coaches C Team at GWD High) while I worked. Cade also got to meet little Teagan (their new pup) for the first time. He did NOT know what to think. Hilarious!
Sunday was St Patty's Day and Cade made sure to wear his green to church so he didn't get pinched. (However, who pinches at church? :) Then we made sure to take him to the GREEN playground to play before lunch.
Sunday was also Aunt Monk's birthday! We celebrated at Mimi & Papa's with a yummy meal and green shamrock cupcake of course. Maddox constantly tries to pick up Cade but I keep reminding him that um...Cade is nearly as big as he is. Yep, weighed in at 25 lbs at the surgery center yesterday.
They have the best time together. The twins (Maddox, above, is twin #2 of the 2 along with brother Jackson) will be SIX next week. SIX!!!! Where does the time go? We've got lots of birthday parties and fun planned for this weekend. Now, let's just get through this crazy week and pray Cade is feeling back to normal just in time to party this weekend!
