I was going to post about our girls weekend but got overwhelmed at all the photos so I'm going to sort through those and work on that for another day this weekend:) Here's a few pics from the 4th. We usually always have a big bash at our pool. We are extremely blessed with a pool since this was my dad's house before he passed and he had the pool put in about 6-7 years ago. It's a lot of up-keep and maintenance but now that we have a little one we know it's more than worth it. I believe we've used it more this Summer than we have the past four years we've lived here. We also know it won't be long before we quickly outgrow this house but the pool is one reason we never want to have to leave. We love having friends and family over too so they can enjoy it with us!
Last year I sent out cute invites and had all the works. This year with a 5 month old it was more like the day before saying to Chad "Oh shoot go by the store and buy a few American flags and what are we going to eat?" It was a small family crowd because we knew we would just eat then leave to go to the lake for the fireworks show later in the afternoon. Chad smoked his first Boston butt on the Big Green Egg and made some of the best BBQ sandwiches I've ever put in my mouth. Not just saying that because I'm his wife either. The boy can cook and I my friends, am lucky.
We had so much fun beating the heat and cooling off in the pool {well Cade liked to cool off inside the best and that's where he pretty much stayed} and we had a great time celebrating Cade's first 4th! I bought this cute bib on sale when I first found out I was expecting. Couldn't wait for him to wear it.
Love my sweet boy...
pulled out last year's decor and party favors. Everything was last minute! Next year I'll have to actually do some of the cute "Pinterest-inspired" decor and recipes I've seen lately. |
He loved playing in his little tug boat that has a shade |
Cousins Maddox & Jackson loved playing with the underwater camera...
They are like little fish in the water. Never get out!
We took a sunset cruise pontoon ride after a day at the pool and watched the fireworks show.
Hope everyone else had a great day celebrating this wonderful country we live in.
God Bless the USA!
I know it's random that it's on this post but do you remember what size monogram you used from Etsy for that Hob Lob tray?! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteHey Katie I'm pretty sure it was the 3 inch! It was the smaller tray from Hobby Lobby too. Hope this helps!
DeleteHe is so darn cute! It looks like you all enjoyed the holiday!
