31 Weeks

Tuesday, December 6, 2011

This week my iPhone What to Expect app says Baby Cade is measuring over nearly 18 inches and weighs nearly 3.5 lbs and he's heading into a major growth spurt!

Well, I believe it because I feel bigger by the day and this past weekend - extremely TIRED.
All I wanted to do was sleep!

How far along? 31 weeks

Maternity clothes? yes mostly everything is maternity except for cute cardigans and vests I can get away with.

Stretch marks? nope, none yet. Really hope I don't get them!

Sleep: It feels like first trimester all over again. He is always on my bladder so I'm constantly up at night. But I do feel more tired these days and just can't get enough sleep. Guess I should do that now while I can right?

Best moment this week: getting a few more projects done in his nursery, purchasing the travel system, and ordering the rocker {which won't be here for 8-12 weeks and I'm pretty sure he will be here by then but whatever...}

Movement: all. the. time. I use to think when pregnant women said the baby was getting the hiccups, that surely that couldn't be true. Oh I believe them now. He got them for 3 nights in a row. It is the craziest thing! The other night Chad felt him moving around like crazy {which is constant} and looked up at me and said "Yeah I don't think Cade is going to take naps..." He literally rolls around so hard in my belly that sometimes it hurts! Strong boy!

Cravings: Starbucks mochas and lattes {decaf of course. Well, most of the time}, Zaxby's Fried Chicken House salads, steaks, and lately Red Lobster! Random cravings at random times. Ice cream is a big one too. I've been eating Mayfield Choc Chip Cookie Dough ice cream nearly every night.

Gender: BOY! Joshua Cade

Labor Signs: No but I do swear I've been getting Braxton Hicks contractions. Chad doesn't believe me but it has GOT to be something. Sometimes it nearly takes my breath away. My lower back has been feeling very sore too.

Belly Button in or out? well....its flat, for now. Yikes.

What I miss: wine

What I am looking forward to: We started seeing the doctor every two weeks now so my next appointment is the 16th. Looking forward to getting the nursery even more ready and just soaking in the Christmas season/spending as much time with family as possible!

Weekly Wisdom: It's getting more and more difficult to get up off the couch. Quite comical.

Milestones: I can't believe we are only about 6 weeks from being FULL TERM. Just in case he is still measuring 2 weeks ahead {doctors keep measuring my belly and will probably do u/s closer to the end}, I'm certainly going to have my bags ready after the first of January. Just in case. That is a month away!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHH!!

  1. You are getting so close! I remember feeling much the same way. And from someone who carried a 9lb baby in there, I know how you feel ;). You look great! Enjoy your sweet time and enjoy rest a much as you can ;)

  2. aw Megan, thank you! I had no idea your little one was 9 lbs - you always looked so great and tiny! I have a feeling that's exactly around what he will be. I am certainly trying to rest as much as possible as he feels heavier by the day. Thanks again for the sweet comment and I hope you are doing well too. Miss your blog!

  4. If you haven't already, start lubing up every waking minute with lotion. I thought I wasn't going to get a single stretch mark, but then at week 33 two popped up overnight. Literally, overnight! I bet you are having Braxton Hicks, too. I had a couple when I was 31 weeks, too. Congratulations again, he's going to be here soon!
