Total weight gain/loss: Remember I decided to take this off for future surveys. Let's just say weight is still "ok". I'll leave it at that.
Maternity Clothes: definitely pants and some tops. Still making some of my longer tunic tops, cardigans, and open wrap styles work.
Sleep: all depends from day to day
Best Moment this Week: Uh, I thought I would get to post that the best moment would be passing my glucose test this morning, but that's a big fat FAIL. So mad. I barely failed it. So I have to do the dreaded three hour test on Monday. Anyone done this? Just how bad is it? They said I'll probably pass it since barely failed this one but it's just having to do it all over again...and for three hours...and getting your blood drawn every hour? and more of the awful sugary drink? Sigh. Oh well, when I looked back maybe I shouldn't have had all those Snickers snack size candy bars yesterday after all. Darn you Halloween candy.
Movement: Still extremely active and the punches are getting stronger and stronger. I was trying to go to sleep the other night, couldn't because he was apparently doing somersaults. Then tried to take a nap Sunday. Couldn't. He was doing more cartwheels. Can I complain? Never. It's the biggest blessing and best feeling ever.
Cravings: Since I craved Big Macs throughout the first of the pregnancy I guess my body is switching it up for me now because lately I crave healthy sandwiches, soups, and salads. Also still crave cereal and chocolate every now and then.
Gender: BOY! Joshua Cade
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out: Still in
What I miss: Getting to sleep all night without going to the bathroom a million times. Sometimes I miss having more than just 2 pairs of jeans. Sometimes I miss having a lot of energy. There's a lot of things I may miss but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
What I am looking forward to: 3D ultrasound in a few weeks and heading into the third trimester. So exciting!
Weekly Wisdom: Don't eat ANY sugar the day before your glucose tests. Just sayin...
I JUST posted about my 3 hour glucose test. It was a whole lot of boring. I also failed my initial screening by 7 points, but I passed mine with "flying" colors as my dr told me. I am only three weeks ahead of you and also having a boy - Henry James. My turkey timer hasn't popped either. As for the test... You will pass too, have no fears.
ReplyDeleteLong ago (my oldest is now 17), I failed my GTT by 1 point! What's more, everyone I knew who was pregnant at the time ALSO flunked their tests, so I think that is pretty common. Drinking that stuff was gross, and our tastes are so sensitive already, being pregnant. But, I agree, it was a whole lotta boring, and I passed my 2nd test with a score of 103 (can't believe I still remember that.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll be fine. I failed the one hour this time too, but passed the three hour. I felt really faint after the first hour...but they let you leave the office if you want to or if you need to run errands, as long as you're back by the appointed time! So it's really not too bad.
