Weekend Recap

Thursday, September 1, 2011

This past weekend I enjoyed a much needed day off on Saturday. Spent a little time by the pool with the bestie then we celebrated her birthday that night! The big 2-8. How did we get here? Pretty sure we were not even 18 cheering together on Friday nights but whatever.

A group of us went out to eat at J Peters in Anderson.
It was much needed night out and we had a blast!

Here's me and the birthday girl. LOVE her. Her actual birthday was yesterday!
me and Chadwick...
On Sunday, me and the SIL went to the Ikea in Charlotte to buy her boys lots of goodies for their new playroom. Love Ikea. They always have the cutest/cheapest stuff, which is perfect for a child's playroom, don't ya think?

I had also researched and decided on the Malm chest of drawers for Cade's nursery. We have a certain spot where we want to put it and so the measurements had to fit. Ta da! This one did and I love the modern sleek design. We are going with white because I had already gotten a "Pottery Barn inspired" changing table for $100 bucks at a local store. So girl or boy, I knew we'd go white. Call me thrifty, but I'd rather splurge on nicer furniture once he's older.

Oh, speaking of thrifty I also have ordered his bedding. It was 1/2 off on Serena & Lily's website the week we found out he was a boy. A sign! I knew I just had to go ahead and purchase it. I saved over 60% once I combined an online promo code. Score.
I had it picked out for a while and love it even more in person.
Now we are just searching for the perfect crib and rocker.
[First, we have to actually clean out the room that will be the nursery.
Trust me, I'm really not ahead of the game after all]
Oh and I haven't bought Cade that many clothes. But y'all know I'm a "clothes-a-holic". Big time. So I did buy him this at Carter's since I had a coupon. Thought it was too cute to pass up since he will be born right before Valentine's Day!
And I may or may not have bought him camo overalls so he can look like his daddy at next year's big "dove shoot". The guys are gearing up for this weekend [opening day is Saturday] and they couldn't be more excited!
