He has a name!

cute address labels via Tiny Prints

When thinking of boy names, we knew that we wanted to use Joshua since that is Chad's first name, his dad's and his granddads. We wanted to pass down that legacy so Joshua was a given. Not to mention, I love family names! For the middle name, which is what we would call him, we wanted something that "flowed" and was short. We loved using a "C" name too since then it would have the same initials as Chad. We have so many friends who have little boys, a lot of the popular names are taken. Maddox, Jackson, Carter, Logan, Brantley, Mason, Coleman, Colton, etc...
so there ya go, time to throw a "Cade" into the mix!

We love it and now I'm so glad we can finally put a name with our little one.

I guess you could say we're already spoiling him just a wee bit. The little guy has already been blessed with so many goodies from family and friends. Then everyone said I would go crazy shopping if I had a girl? Well I hate to break it to them [and my bank account] but it's going to be bad either way. So hard to control myself but with all the wonderful hand-me-downs we will get [thank you LORD!], I'm going to try to be good about buying so much. Try is the key word.
*please note the Carolina booties even though Chad is a Clemson fan. He DID buy Cade a Clemson rattle but I hid it. I'm kidding! Let's just make sure he has more Carolina than Clemson mmm k?
Love the bib Chad's mom and sister gave us ["Star of Mommy's Blog"], then I bought this precious book on sale at TJ Maxx after I found out we were expecting again. Can't wait to build his book collection. This is his first!
What other children's books should I make sure to add?
Any favorites?

  1. i think it's neat when you can already have a name and start calling him by name! and love the bib about the blog :) too cute! these are books for maybe when he's older, or you can read them to him when he's young, but i LOVE the "You Are Special" series...or i think it's called the "Wemmicks Series" by Max Lucado...it's a grouping of books...they are the best! http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/you-are-special-max-lucado/1100221456 and of course all the other childhood classics...and i think sandra boynton books are too cute too!
