So here's a little backstory. My mom had a best friend named Sandra. Mom welcomed me into the world, then a year later Sandra had a son, Caleb. Few years down the road Sandra had Jessi, then 27 days later mom had Courtney. We were all the very best of friends [especially Court and Jessi being born only days apart. They were inseperable]. Sandra even took us to school everyday for years and kept us every afternoon until mom/dad got off work. We went on vacations together - Disneyworld, Cabbage Patch Land, the beach...you name it. We grew up in the same church, were in the same VBS classes, Christmas plays.
They are family.
New Years Day 2007, Sandra unexpectedly passed away from rare complications after a routine hysterectomy.
We. were. devastated.
I remember rushing to the hospital in my pajamas and just hugging Caleb, weeping.
In 2008, Courtney and I unexpectedly lost our dad when he had a sudden heart attack.
Again, the unthinkable happened.
We've been through a lot and while we don't know the reasons for the path the Lord has brought us all down, we do know He has a perfect plan.
and this was part of His perfect plan.
Jessi married Blake Moore on May 21 in Greenwood. She was the most gorgeous bride and it was the most perfect day. I know Sandra was smiling down as we celebrated such a joyous occasion.
Here's us four kiddos back in the day at the beach.
I know we have tons of better pics, but this was all I could find in a hurry.
Yes I'm the awkwardly tall lanky child, and I suppose Courtney and Jessi thought they were frogs that day?
Then here we are a few weekends ago.
My, how things change!
Jessi is now a newlywed and pursuing her Masters degree, Caleb is working on his Phd and traveling the world doing biology research, I'm married/own my own business, and Courtney just finished Carolina and started a new job.
God is good.
Mr. and Mrs. Blake Moore
they are so cute
Jessi's grandparents Mrs. Ann and "Papa Charlie". We've known them all our life. They are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Love them!
Courtney and her "mini me" Mati :)
the girls [ they've been friends since they were born, I do believe] singing a little Dixie Chicks. A song they had sang over and over during sleepovers! It's crazy how fast time flies by...
Congrats Jessi & Blake
We love you and know the Lord has wonderful things planned for you
as you begin this new journey together!
