As Summer quickly approached and vacations full of rare, endless hours available for reading were scheduled, I rushed to order it in time to read on our cruise in May.
Only it sat in the Amazon shopping cart. [along with countless other books, might I add]
So, I tried to find it at several book store one day while shopping so I could read at Harbor Island in June. After countless stores, it was no where to be found.
Thought once more "Hey, I know what I'll do. I'll buy the book before our WEEK LONG [tons of reading time] trip to Fripp in August". Again, sat in the Amazon cart. Call me lazy, scatter brained, too busy. Any of those will do.
Even though I still read Angie's blog, I had almost forgotten about the book until yesterday when I stumbled upon a Barnes & Nobles near Atlanta while waiting for my sister to finish her first "big girl job interview" since graduation.
Eager to go in and knowing exactly what I wanted, I surveyed the rows of Christian books, looking for Plan B by Pete Wilson and/or Crazy Love by Francis Chan. They were my top two choices to begin my 2011 reading and decided they would be an early birthday present to myself. [They had also been sitting in my Amazon shopping cart for months. Go figure.]
At eye level, not book end out - but face out among all the others stacked ever so - was Angie Smith's I Will Carry You.
I snatched it up immediately. FINALLY!
Glanced to my left and saw Crazy Love but never even found Plan B. For a second I thought "Should I get I Will Carry You now or just wait until I order my slew of books from Amazon?" That's the procrastinator in me.
Then quickly the thought vanished and something told me to buy it now.
As if I needed to read it now.
Took the crisp new paperback book to the check out counter as she slipped it into a thin white Barnes & Nobles bag. I couldn't wait...
and I haven't been able to put it down.

God's timing is perfect.
Even with the little things, He knows exactly how to speak to your heart...
and when.
This sounds wonderful!!! Thanks for the recommendation!! :)
