Birthday Week(s)

Friday, January 21, 2011

I meant to do this post earlier in the week but it has been a crazy week full of work, American Idol [priorities...], and me not feeling too well.

Here's a quick recap of my birthday festivities and a huge thank you to all of my wonderful friends and family who made yet another year oh-so-fabulous!

The Saturday before my birthday we got together with friends and had dinner at a new restaurant called J Peters. It was so good and there were lots of laughs when you get our crowd together. My bestie Ruth surprised me with this cute cake and it fit me to a "T".
So sweet. Literally. I loved it and love my friends!
The hubs knew he was going to Alabama on a hunting trip the weekend of my birthday, which I was really sad about, but he made up for it by leaving me this sweet card. [so thoughtful he tried to find a card with "sweet" on it] and he gave me $ to go to market in ATL on my bday and finally buy items for ME instead of just stocking up for the store.
[That's all I wanted and yes, I stocked up for myself for the entire year.]
Two friends came along to market with me and we had a great time topped off by dinner at Outback and a big helping of a Chocolate Thunder from Down Under, of course!
here's my loot. I'm awful with losing pearl studs, etc... so that was a must.
I showed everything to him (hence this photo) and
he said "Seriously? You NEED all that?"

Men!
[I could have went even more crazy but hey, I know my limits.]

Then the Saturday after my birthday I went out with a few friends and my sis Court, to dinner at The Lazy Goat in downtown Greenville. {so good!} We went to Beth's apartment first where she surprised me with the best cupcakes from Stossner's in Greenville.
[Last year she got me monogrammed ones. I hope she realizes this could be a bad,bad tradition to start. I'm going to be looking forward to these delightful goodies for the next 364 days!]
We had a great time and when us girls get together, there's always a lot of laughter!
Love them so much.
Sunday my mom took me & Court to lunch at Red Lobster and yet more shopping. Then my in laws cooked supper and a cake this week and as always, I got lots of goodies. So sweet!
Don't know how I got so lucky but I count my blessings every day. Thanks to everyone who made my birthday "weeks" so fun. Feeling so blessed and look forward to the year ahead!!
