What I'm Loving...

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Decided to join "This Kind of Love" and other today and try "What I'm Loving Wednesday".

I love that today is the first day of Autumn.
It's now my new favorite season. If it would just please cool off around here we could maybe enjoy it! :(
Chicken Tacos with black beans & avocado
had this for dinner last night and we love pairing it with Tostitos hint of Jalapeno chips and salsa. It's an easy, quick recipe that's delicious and surprisingly pretty good for you too
Diet Lipton Green Tea with Citrus
Chad bought this a few months ago, I didn't really like it. Now after drinking it when there was nothing else to drink, I have acquired a taste for it and LOVE it. It's best with ice - very refreshing - but someone told me that it's not safe for pregnant women to drink [not that this would apply to me] because something about the antioxidants block folic acid. Has anyone else heard this?
Lilly Pulitzer Sadie Dress
absolutely OBSESSED with this dress. We carried this style in the green print, but I saw the blue wave print on my Lilly rep in FL and had to have it! I wore it last week to work, then church on Sunday, and seriously I could wear it everyday of the week because that's how comfortable and flattering it is. It's perfect for this time of year - pair with sandals or flats, then transition with nude boots and a cardigan once cooler. Decided to order the blue wave print for the store - the style did so well they are recutting it and should arrive 10/15.
Let me know if you're interested in snagging one for yourself!
Having time to scrapbook
I'm loving that I found time this past weekend/week to finish scrapbook pages of our trip to Fripp Island. Love documenting each year's trip and showing how the twins change from year to year and how the family grows!
On this particular page, I listed the twins age (3), the number of years of marriage for Chad's parents (30 years) , Monica & Wayne (5 yrs) and Chad & I (2 years). Also made sure to note that another little one would be joining us next year [monica is about 5 mo pregnant in these photos...] making this the last family beach photo as a family of 8.
HOW EXCITING!
LK Clothing Polka Dot Skirt
also loving this new skirt by LK Clothing that just arrived at Sugar. Maybe it's because I'm obsessed with polka dots. Maybe it's because I'm obsessed with rosettes. Maybe it's because it's garnet and black and ready to wear to watch the GAMECOCKS. Whatever it is, I am seriously considering finding a way to swindle this little doll into my closet...
NEW GREYS ANATOMY
and finally I love that the NEW season of Grey's Anatomy premieres tomorrow night! Anyone else out there a Grey's fan? Last season's finale had me biting my nails and on the edge of my seat the entire time. Can not wait to see what the new season has in store.
Happy Hump Day!

  3. I am SO happy it is finally fall!! If only it would cool off and feel like it! I feel so awkward wearing my summer dresses even though it's still 90 degrees outside! (Plus, I'm losing my tan!)

  5. No kidding, time for boots, tights, and sweaters now that the tan is gone!

Yes, Heather - we just sauteed chicken along with peppers/onions and a few different spices (really no clue what all we throw in there). Then we add black beans and diced avocado along with all the trimmings you want - lettuce, sour cream, cheese, salsa, etc... Then I made fresh guacamole with avocado, lemon juice, a little salsa and chopped onions. (i dont like tomatoes). Anyways, it's delish and if you keep it simple and use low fat sour cream and cheese it's not that bad for you. Or at least we like to think so ;) Enjoy!
