three amigos.

Who knew that two kids from North Myrtle Beach high school would become a few of this gal's treasured friends for the past EIGHT years?

Let me break it down for you...
It all began in 2002. University of South Carolina. Wade Hampton dorm.
Met during RUSH, then pledge the same sorority, ZTA.
I was from Abbeville. Cameron (on left) and Ashley (on right) were both from North Myrtle Beach and attended the same high school.
Here's a picture from our very first sorority mixer. Who knew these little baby faces would change so much over the next eight years...
We were so young and oblivious to the fun adventures that lie ahead.
flash forward four full years of college to our Senior Year. Whew, we finally pulled it together, learned to shop at better places, and realized that highlights were
 indeed... a good thing.
So you know how the story goes... you graduate college, tears are shed, and people move on. Well, and move. Literally. Our close friends & fellow sorority sisters, Jenn & Cara, decided to move across the country post graduation. Therefore us gals planned a trip to visit in April 2007. Cameron couldn't make the trip because of her new job, but we made a pact to go visit the "SoCal girls" at least every other year.  This began our tradition of a "Summer Girls Trip".
Here's Ash and I with Jenn & Cara in Laguna Beach.
Next up, 2008. a.k.a., a complete WHIRLWIND for me. April - I opened my boutique. July - my dad passed away. August - I got married. Just the thought of that year makes me tear up and smile at the same time. Talk about bittersweet. It was a year I will never forget and certainly never get over. My girls (all of them, not just my two amigos) were with me through thick and thin. I could not ask for better friends and consider myself so blessed. Here's some of my girls by my side on my wedding day...of course my two little amigos were right there
as bridesmaids on my big day.
When 09' rolled around, not only was I completely ready for a refreshing trip to the west coast after the whirlwind year in 2008, but the two amigos were ready for a girls weekend and we kept our pact and were off to see Jenn & Cara again...
Here we are in Laguna Beach again, 2 years later.
Summer 10' is here and "it's only tradition" that we have another girl's weekend, right?
We met up in Murrels Inlet this past weekend, had dinner, and a fun night!
I always loved that quote, "boys will come and go, but your girlfriends are forever". No matter what has happened in life...year after year we all make the effort to pencil in some "girl time" in our busy schedules. I look forward to the many adventures ahead!
We may go weeks without actually talking to one another, but no matter what friends are like stars...even though we might not can see them, we definitely know they are always there!
