I love the fact that it's 85 degrees here in the South today. Beautiful weather, I have the day off and get to lay by the pool, plus we're grilling hamburgers tonight for mom & Court's birthday. I mean, did we skip Spring and move right into Summer? Fine by me.
Also love that Easter is this Sunday. Such an incredible reminder of the Lord's amazing love for US. I've had, "Here I am to Worship" in my head all week...especially the verse that says "and I'll never know how much it cost...to see my sins upon that cross". Can't wait to hear our Easter cantata at church, know it's going to be an awesome day!
Speaking of Easter, had to throw in these cute pics of Spring/ Easter-inspired table settings.
...and this beautiful porch, featured in this month's Southern Living. Ever since we visited Beaufort and learned the history of the old Southern homes, I would love to have a porch full of rocking chairs & swings one day and paint the ceilings blue. The story behind it is that it keeps away the "ghosts/ghouls/evil spirits" of the South. The Gullah call it "haint blue" since they call ghosts "haints". I think it gives the porches personality and of course, ya'll know me - I'm partial to aqua & turquoise anyways.
Who wouldn't love to sit out here with a good book and cold glass of ice sweet tea? Heavenly...
Maybe I can sit out on the porch is this lovely little frock by Lilly P! Fell in love with the romper style and this was on my "must list" for Spring. It just arrived this week and I must say, it's way cute. Have any of you tried the romper style? It's going to be a huge trend for Summer. Give it a try!
and finally our gallery wrap canvas I ordered came in. We put it over the mantle in the sunroom since it's a photo from our family beach trip. There's tons of beach photos from different trips and it's one of my favorite rooms. I'll have to settle for sipping my sweet tea in there for now...Last, but not least, favorite song of the week is "God Gave Me You" by Dave Barnes. Total fan of his. Incredible song - download it. You'll be glad you did.
Told you it was a random post. Have an awesome weekend and if you're in the sunny warm South, get out there and enjoy this BEAUTIFUL day that the Lord has made!
Love this day! Just beautiful! Thank you LORD! :)
