Thanks to...
for tagging me in this fun survey. Again, so great to meet Ashley, of Sweet Southern Prep, this past weekend! Check out her super cute blog - she has the best ideas/recipes/and more!
Now, onto the questions...
1. Who is your style icon? Lilly Pulitzer. I love color and feel that your life should be a colorful one.
Oh and can't leave off Jackie O. She has always been a style icon of mine because she is the epitome of grace, class, and timeless style. Just like the Yves St Laurent quote , "Fashions fade, but style is eternal".
2. What is your favorite Socialite Lit book? Otherwise Engaged, The Devil Wears Prada, and ok, so is it really bad that I purchased "Social Climbers" by Beth Dunn last Fall and have yet to read it? Been way to busy but I am pretty sure I'm going to love it and can't wait to catch up on my reading at the beach this summer.
3. Favorite party theme? "Sweet" party themes, of course! We do these a lot at Sugar (go figure) because we love cupcakes and anything sweet & yummy. I do love a good fiesta ,probably because I could eat my weight in chips & dip.
4.Go-to Halloween costume? cowgirl or this Dorothy costume I've had for years.
5. Extravagance you cannot live without? hair straightener and my Blackberry. (wish I could because I hate being glued to the Blackberry and sometimes wish I could throw it in the lake. Life of a business owner, I guess.)
6. Living person you admire? my amazing mother
7. Greatest fear? cancer
8. Traits you deplore in yourself? procrastinating, but sometimes I work best under pressure, so I guess it doesn't always result in a bad thing.
9. Which talent would you most like to have? would love to be able to sing like my sister. She is amazing. I definitely didn't get the talent of the family.
10. Greatest achievement? taking the leap of faith and opening my own retail business in April 08... in the middle of a recession. Celebrated two years this past weekend, making me feel accomplished and VERY grateful.
You are such an inspiration!!! Congrats on 2 years!! My go to costume is always a cowgirl too!! We've always got cowboy boots laying around here! ;)
