We both had a very busy weekend of working [both Chad & I worked Friday and Saturday], then today we did a lot of "Spring cleaning" and updates around the house after church. Needless to say, I'm exhausted but it sure was nice to have a weekend to cook together, spend time together, and get our house organized and ready for Spring!
Speaking of updates, I love finding new ways to "update" items we already have and give a fresh new look. For instance, we used these natural curly branches at our wedding and have had them in our sunroom ever since [ they were spraypainted silver] . When in Beaufort last summer, we visited a really cute, quirky, beach decor store and there were tons of coral accessories and curly branches that were basically painted coral.
So I thought hmmm...
finally found coral spray paint at Hob Lob and VOILA!
Also here's my [cheap] version of a "Spring" monogrammed wreath
[propped up against an artichoke finial I got on sale at The Alcoves for $30
I had seen them in Ballard Designs for $75!]
Branch Wreath - $3.99 at Hobby Lobby
Wooden Letter "M" - $1.99 at Hobby Lobby
Pack of "Reindeer Moss" - $3.99 at Hobby Lobby
Ribbon - already had/ optional
Hot Glue gun - already had
TOTAL COST = around $10 bucks!
May add a few little spotted bird eggs, pastel berries, or flowers to give it
a color and make it look more whimsical.
It's still a work in progress!
