Small Voice

Devotion for the day:

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." - Hebrews 4:16 KJV

When I can't feel Your presence, I launch out in faith and begin talking with You anyway. I will not doubt Your presence, for I recall the many times You have been with me. So as I come to You with an open heart, my Lord, I quiet my thoughts. I sense Your holy presence. Then I talk. and talk. and talk! When I'm finally talked out, You manage to put me in a place to listen -- to You. In simple quiet ways, You minister to my needs and fill me with peace and joy. Thank You, Lord, for listening to me, for helping me to her Your still small voice.

-When I'm On My Knees by Anita Corrine Donihue

I have an unspoken prayer request for a customer of my store/ friend tomorrow. Please keep her in your prayers.

Also, keep the family of Gene Phillips, my great uncle who passed away last week, in prayer. My grandfather is still having a hard time.

Last, but certainly not least, I can't stop praying for those in Haiti. Those who have lost so many loved ones, who are suffering non-stop just to survive, and those who have dropped everything to aid them. I know so many women whose husbands have went to the rescue. Continue to pray for our troops, doctors, and countless other volunteers who are there. Even though we can't hop on a plane and help {as badly as I want to}, our small voice can still be heard.

Our local Christian radio station, HIS Radio 89.3, suggested Convoy of Hope. There are so many other ways to help through the American Red Cross, texting HAITI to 90999 and Compassion Haiti Earthquake Relief, to name a few. No matter how you give - just be sure you do. We are blessed beyond measure and have SO MUCH - please give a blessing to those in Haiti today.
