until my mom was 12 and they moved back to his old homeplace in Iva, SC
My grandparents, J.O. & Lois, had my mom when they were 42, so by the time my sister and I arrived they were in their 60s already. However, like Frank Sinatra says it doesn't matter your age as long as you are "young at heart" , which they definitely were...
So young at heart that since they were retired, they kept us everyday while mom and dad worked. Those days were the best memories of our childhood. We were the only grandchildren, and needless to say
they spoiled us a little...ok, well a lot!
