It's that time of year again...

Thursday, October 22, 2009

This is how my husband looks every night around 8:15 pm this time of year {and I do mean every night}. That's right, it's hunting season and for some reason he thinks it's "fun" to sit in a deer stand and freeze for hours and hours everyday.

I will never be able to understand it, but I never complain. After all, tis the season for my favorite hobby too... Christmas SHOPPING! muahahaha. ;)

He wanted a photo with his camo hat {it's actually one of his favorite possessions. It's his first cousin Drew's hat and Drew was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver in 2007. There isn't a day that goes by where we don't miss him and Chad always likes to keep a part of him near}
May you all hug your family a little tighter today and thank the good Lord for all of your {and your spouses'} talents and hobbies.

Couldn't imagine my life any other way without Scent Away, hunting boots, and fishing poles all over the house...
...the same way I hope he couldn't live without stepping over empty shoe boxes and moving mounds of makeup and curling irons out of the way every morning.
It's the little things that mean the most right? ;)
"count your blessings, name them one by one"

Have a blessed day,

  1. We have more in common than I knew! My husband has found a way to make hunting season pretty much year round :)

  2. ha, yea and if it's not hunting it's fishing! I saw a postcard used for marketing in small boutiques and it said "Hunters Wives' Club - License to Shop!" I thought that was so cute :)
