slow down sister...

Friday, September 11, 2009

I know, I know... I've been MIA lately and have fallen so behind on all my photography blog posts, because well... I've just stayed too darn busy. However, this past week my husband and I DID get a much needed loooong vacation {the longest I've spent at the beach since high school!} and we had SUCH a great time together with his family. It was so nice to just relax, not have internet - leave my phone in the room and relax on the beach.

This week has also made me realize that while staying SO busy, I haven't gotten to enjoy time with Chad and our family as much as I would like. It was a joy to spend quality time with our twin nephews this past week and it made me realize that I stay so busy - I don't see them NEAR enough as I would like - and we only live 15 minutes away. We also have a huge responsibility of taking care of my grandfather, who is 76 years old. It's been our responsibility since last July when my dad passed away {he was an only child and I'm the oldest grandchild}. I would really love to enjoy my weekends with him since I know our time together is short and so very precious.

With all that said, it's time for this girl to slow down! I remind myself of the Lady Antebellum song titled "Slow Down Sister" and some days let's be honest - I can't even tell if I'm coming or going.

Hope everyone understands - for the rest of the year I will not be scheduling any more photo sessions. If you already have a photo session booked/gift certificate for one or we have discussed a possible Fall photo session via email then yes, I will honor those bookings and we can further discuss time/date. I hope to pray about this hobby and know the Lord will lead me in the right direction. If all goes well, I plan to resume photo sessions in 2010.

Thank you for your support - I have had such a great time with all my photo sessions this year and you don't know how much I appreciate your business. I look forward to "recharging" during the next few months and can't wait to see what 2010 has in store!

Keep checking back since I'll use the next few months catching up on all the fun photo sessions I've done plus I also have 3 more weddings booked to photograph before November! =)

God Bless,
Sandi
