Lord, thank You for this rest that has finally come.
It is only a short, unexpected time in my own backyard, but to me its a haven.
I am so grateful for it.
My weary heart cried out for You to rescue me and give me rest.
How merciful and loving You are for answering my prayers.
What sweet rest. Thank you, Lord.
Tomorrow I begin work anew. Until then, I lay all aside, return to enjoying my family and rest.

Today has been an amazing day of rest and spending time with family and friends. After church, we had my mom and granddad over for Sunday dinner. Granted mom did *most* of the cooking, but I did whip up this amazing chocolate turtle pudding pie ;) I'm no Betty Crocker, but this is quick and easy to make. Yum...I'll be having another helping {or two} of this tonight! I mean how can you resist?
It sounds like you had a lovely time with your family. The pudding pie looks so delicious! Yummy Yummy...hehe
ReplyDeleteI would love to find out its recipe!
Oh it's so easy, it's unreal. You just take Instant Chocolate Pudding {follow instructions on box} and put in ready made graham cracker crust. Let sit in fridge for 1 hour and then top with Cool Whip and I used Sundae toppings such as fudge and caramel along with chopped pecans. Very quick to make when you're just craving a little something sweet or need something in a hurry! :)
